Frequently Asked Questions

How do I update or delete images?

When you create an image link with urlimg.com, the image is only generated the first time it is visited. urlimg.com will then check every 2 hours to see if the image has been modified or not. If you would like to instantly refresh images, you may do so by registering for an account.

How is my usage calculated?

Whenever an image is generated for a particular site, the size of the generated image is counted against your usage. Each site maintains a usage and a monthly cumulative usage. The only difference is that when you remove images, your usage will decrease but your monthly cumulative usage will not. At the end of each month, you will be billed $ 0.01/MB USD for your monthly cumulative usage and it will be reset to the usage at that time.

Why am I getting errors when requesting an image?

Typically when you get errors while requesting an image, it is because of several common problems. One is if the requested URL contains unicode or non-ASCII characters. The URL must be all ASCII characters. Another issue arises with the use of interlaced PNG files. If you are attempting to modify an interlaced PNG file, try converting it to a non-interlaced format. You should also make sure that you can access the original image being included at the end of the URL and that all commands are valid. If all else fails, please contact support.

What is an unlimited account?

urlimg.com has two types of accounts: free and unlimited. By upgrading a site to unlimited, there will be no limits on the amount of images that can be processed through urlimg.com for that site. Also by upgrading to an unlimited account you are agreeing to pay $ 0.01 USD for each MB of cumulative usage that is over 50 MBs.

How do I protect against other people using up my quota?

Once you are registered and have attached a site, you can put a site into protected mode. Protected mode does not allow images to be processed for a site unless the person doing it is currently loggedi into urlimg.com and is the site owner.
